My attraction to color and texture is the constant in all of my work, and I've come to understand how colors and forms underlie everything we see in the world.  I am a colorist.  When searching for subject matter, I want to make sure that color relates to it because I feel that if the visual impact of the art did not attract the viewer from across the room, they wouldn't investigate close enough to read the statement.
